custody

I dropped my child off to her fathers today and now he is refusing to give her back to me. I have not filed for divorce yet. can I get her back?

A parent cannot lawfully keep the other parent from seeing a child. Each of you has joint and shared custody of the child. If he continues to refuse to give you the child, you will have to file for a court order to be granted custody. As it appears that there may be a custody battle looming, you should seek advice from a family law attorney in your area.
