Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
DCFS is taking my wife and I to court to try to remove our boys from us. They are going off a drug test that wasn't accurate, we asked dcfs to test the "dirty" UA with a stronger drug test but they didn't do it. My wife and I got a "power of attorney for children" form and signed our boys over to my parents. When we go to court on Tuesday, can we get our case dis-missed since we DON'T have custody anymore? How could they take our boys away when we have already signed custody rights to my parents???

Because they are your children and the power of attorney is revocable at any time by you. If you relinquish your parental rights and have your parents adopt the children, then you would be in a different position.
