when both parties make the same amount of money will one be able to get alimony.
If joint custody is granted does that mean each parent gets the child for six months of the year

Generally alimony only applies when one makes substantially more than the other.
There are two aspects to custody. #1 Residential - where does the child spend most of the nights. This is usually a result of an agreement between the parties. The agreement can be 50-50 or any other percentage of time. #2 Legal - joint legal custody is where both parents have equal right to input for decisions regarding the minor
