Divorce Query
My son is going through a divorce. He makes about $900/month. His wife wants to leave the car that is worth $14,000 and $20,000 owing and he must refinance. Here is the challenge: My son is mentally challenged and will not qualify for a loan of that magnitude. What can we do?????

Debts in a divorce are usually divided between the parties, with the most capable party (able to pay) bearing the higher debt. If the parties are equally able to pay then each pays. Your son (and you) may want to call for a consultation.
