divorce visitation

My 3 children refuse to see their father for their scheduled visitation. I am the custodial parent, what legally can happen to me?

Re: divorce visitation

You have a duty to make the children available. Usually when children refuse to see a parent it is because the custodial parent is opposed to the visitation, and the children have picked up on those signals, whether intentionally or unintentionally made by the custodial parent. The problem between you and your ex should not be transferred to the children. You, the ex and your children may benefit from a visitation coordinator to help craft a plan to support visitation. If the ex is truly a horrible person and incompetent father, and places the children at risk, then you may need to get an order which does not provide for visitation. That is a rare situation.
