if i am eligible, what benefits am i deserving of

Apr 1998 I fell and crushed both wrists and amputated one, which was successful in reattaching. I have seizures due to stress, 0% use of left hand, 20% use of right hand. Due to this, I have lost my husband, all income, constant problems, delays, depression,fx neck, fx back in two placces. I have high blood pressure, osteopenia, and have had substance abuse problems from all the surgeries. What are my chances of winning? I have an 11 year old son. Can he get benefits and can I get SSI if my monthly award is $637 a month? I have been before the judge and have hired an attorney but get little info from him.

You did not explain who is liable for your injuries - i.e., did you fall as a result of the negligence of another OR did you just trip and fall OR did you injure yourself while on the job? Your compensation arising from your injuries depends on the liability issue.

In the event that you are found to be permanently disabled you are entitled to certain Federal/State benefits. Your son may also qualify depending on the degree of your disability.

You should insist that your attorney answer your questions, that is why he works for you.
