If I graduate early at the age of 17, is it possible to get emancipated without parental approval?

Re: emancipation by graduation

You can apply for emanipation without parental approval if you can show the court you have the maturity and capability to support yourself. That generally requires that you support yourself, not that another person supplies the support. A word of caution, you may want to carefully consider whether or not you want to be emancipated if the reason is a disagreement with your parents over discipline, lifestyles or other choices. Generally parents attempt to act in the best interests of their children, even when the child may disagree. Sometimes the wisdom acquired by many years of life experience is more insightful than the impetuous over-confidence of youth. Be careful. Time is on your side - a little patience may reward you by avoiding a decision that may give you years of heartache.
