Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

My ex-husband recently told our three children that he no longer wishes to have them in his home for visitation. My ten year old son has some belongings there but his father will give them back to him. Am I within my rights to have the police escort us there to retreive them?

You can ask the police to accompany you if you think there will be a problem. But remember, the belongings are "stuff" - you can always get more stuff.

You can certainly ask the police but many times they will simply tell you it's civil matter that needs to be handled through the courts..
