Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

the father of my child is a drug addict and in prison, i want full custody and not sure what to do he has been in and out of her life for 3 years and this last year been in jail and now the last 6 months in prison never made to much effort to spend much time with her nor has he paid or helped us since she was 7 months old never helped with pregnacy or delivery and maybe held ins for a year

You need to file a paternity case with the court to get an order for custody, visitation and child support.
