Re: fathers rights

Unless you have some problems which would limit your competence as a parent, you are entitled to at least "standard visitation" which for most situations gives you alternate weekends and holidays. You may have to go to court to get your rights in a court order, which can be enforced. You can use an attorney, if you do not have resources, then try Utah Legal Services, or finally do it your self. Go to http://courtlink.utcourts.gov/ for reference.

Note: Your child needs as much of a father as possible. This means a lot more than weekend visitation. The child did not ask to come into the world without a family. Your obligation as a father is to put your child first; which includes living close to the child so that as it grows you can be close to it; your future relationships should be subordinate to your child. Remember, you child did not choose you, nor did you choose your child, but you have a great responsibility. Don't blow it, always keep trying to be a good dad. The rewards for trying are incredible, the cost of quiting is never ending for you and your child.
