Full time student - chid support

What happens to child support if one or both of the parents are full time students? The father has been paying support and the mother is not employed. The father wants to go back to school and get his degree.

Re: Full time student - chid support

If there's already a current child support order in place, then the party seeking an adjustment in support needs to file a petition to modify with the court. Generally, going back to school does not qualify as a change in circumstances justifying a modification of the support order. There may be circumstances where the court might consider it based upon what all of the factors are in your particular case.
