Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

guardianship

My sister lives in England, has severe depression but is doing well at this time. Her son is living with half sister is Utah. The half sister is filing for guardianship of my nephew. Court is on Wed 17th of Dec. She received letter on the 12th. The time frame and Weekend make it difficult for her to talk to her lawyer. Guardianship is not the problem. My sister wants to help in the decisions of his upbringing and she wants to be able to see her son as well as the rest of her family. Can she call the court at 8:00a.m. and be part of the proceedings? If so, how does she go about it. Or would it help If I sent a letter to the Judge? Or could I go in her behalf- Can we do either of these? What is the process? Thanks for your time

Re: guardianship

You need to get legal counsel to postpone the hearing until a time when arrangments can be made for the sister to be represented.
