Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

My ex husband asked my father to open a savings account for my daughter (who is a minor) in the state of Utah while my ex lives in Arizona. But, now he is requesting bank statements and said that I can give them to him voluntarily or he will go through the courts. The problem is, his name is not on the account. Can he still request this information even if he is not on the account?

Why does it matter to your ex? Has your ex put money in it? He may want to make sure that you are not taking it for yourself, if it is extra money. If it is for child support, then he may only want proof of payment.

The real questions: why does he want it? why do you not want to give it to him? If it relates to child support, or money that he has deposited for your daughter, he may have a right to know at least it was deposited. Otherwise, there is no legal obligation to disclose nor to let him know (unless it says in previous orders of the Court).
