Can he do this?

My ex husband wants to take our kids for one of his summer weeks vacation starting on my weekend. We have had a family vacation planned for months, and cannot change it. My question is do I have to let them go? What can I do?

You must refer to the divorce decree. If there is still a dispute, you may want to try mediation. Generally the parents attempt to work out a schedule for summer that meets both partie's schedules. If can not resolve this and it is not clear in your decree, and you cannot mediate the dispute, then one of you will have to decide whether a change in plans is 'doable' or risk going back to court.
