Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

My ex husband has produced a stack of medical and day care bills from a few years ago and expects me to just write a check for everything. Is there a statute of limitations in Utah on how long he has to provide me the bills so I can pay them? If so, after that time has elapsed is he responsible for them 100%? Thanks & God Bless!

Generally courts require that bills be provided within 30 days. Your decree should address this issue. Read it carefully. If it does not address it, your best bet is to go to court and tell the court that you should not be held liable because he waited so long to bring forth the bills, and that it is difficult if not impossible for you to verify the services rendered and whether he paid his share.
