Re: need info on contesting adoption

If you are the father of the children by marriage; or if you properly established your paternity (by a declaration of paternity or through actually being in the lives of the children and providing support) you should be able to contest the adoption. If you have not done these things, then you may have a hard time. You will need legal assistance.

If you have not be closely involved in the lives of the children, you should ask yourself what is in the best interests of the children - being raised by a single father whom they do not know well, or being adopted into a two parent family who should be able to provide more care?
