Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

I am trying to get joint custody of my 2 year old daughter in Utah before my ex girlfriend moves to a different state. I filed a petition for custody and she denied it. What do I have to do next?

Follow through with the lawsuit - the next logical step would be to mediate the case. If that is not successful then you will have to prepare and present your case to the court.
