laws re: child's last name

My ex-girlfriend found out she was pregnant after we split so a paternity test was used to confirm I was the father. She gave our son her last name at birth and now six years later is getting married and wanting to change his last name to her new last name. I have been 100% present in my son's life and have a great relationship with him. Is there anything I can do legally to prevent this from happening?
