Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

I live in utah. and my husband was in a motor cycle accident in 2007 he had many injuries he was in shock trauma unit for almost a month. Anyway he did receive a small settlement and it was gone fast. anyway we have been waiting almost 3 years for him to get ssdi soc. sec. disability ins. all this time he just got approved and now they owe him about 21/2 yrs worth I have been supporting us all this time. we just recently got seperated and have been for about a month he has been I think having an affair with my friend . do to some text mess. and facebook mess he has been sending her . anyway am I entitled to 1/2 the back pay? and can he seek alimony if he's the one that lefty he will be getting his ssdi now and I pay his insurance still. we have been married for 10 yrs

The lump sum, or back pay probably would be considered a marital asset that would be divided upon divorce. Without knowing more about your financial situation, I can't really give you an opinion about alimony. Once you're divorced, you won't be able to carry him on your insurance.
