Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Last March my husband and I and our 3 kids (2 from a previous marriage and 1 which is his) moved from California where my family lives and moved to Utah to be close to his family and to try and make our marriage work. After moving here my husband began cheating on me and got 2 girls pregnant and me and the kids moved out Nov. 2009 and have been living by ourselves ever since. I would like to get a divorce, however I would like to move to Chicago in the next month. Is there any legal obligations that I need to notify him, the courts, etc, to let them know that I am moving and then how do I file for a divorce if I'm living in Chicago and he lives in Salt Lake City. Thank you sooo much for your help in the tough time.

You can file for divorce prior to leaving for Chicago. You will have to give your husband notice that you are leaving and where you are going. If you wait to file for divorce when you get to Chicago you will have to wait at least 90 days after arriving before filing there.
