My spouse and I recently separated. By late fall I will receive a medical settlement from phen fen. How do I protect it so that my spouse can not lay claim any of it?

Re: Marital Separation Financial Rights
Your settlement is a result of your personal injury, and is not marital property. Only marital property is considered disible in a divorce proceeding. There is other property which is not marital, such as inheritances or property which you owned before you married.
