Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
I have been married for 8 years. The last 2 years I have been supporting my wife while she was trying to get disability. We were technically not together but we still lived in the same house. Prior to her becoming unable to work and now on disability we both works. For the most part she mad about the same amount as me. We don't have kids I make about $2800 a month before taxes and she makes 1200 per month. She has been threatening to try to get alimony from me. Based on those facts does she have a good chance to get alimony?

In Utah it comes down to her need and your ability to pay for her need. Therefore if she does not have a lot of bills and then you may not have to pay alimony. But if you have a lot of bills then you can't pay alimony. There is a lot of considerations that go into alimony. It would be good for you to consult with an attorney.
