Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

medical support

i have 2 children living at home ages 19 & 22 who are still on my insurance, neither child is working right now. my daughter (19) just broke her arm requiring surgery and the bills are starting to stack up, is her father obligated to pay 1/2 of the medical expenses? can i make him pay, he is refusing to right now because he is mad at me and says i am on my own for the bills. he still owes me back child support in the amount of aprox $850 how can i get him to pay? is it worth the trouble of getting a lawyer and fighting him?

Re: medical support

Your children are adults under the law, their father is not obligated to pay. You can collected your back child support through the Office of Recovery Services, a Utah State Agency.
