A person is not an adult until age 18. if you are being abused you need to call the police immediately and report it. You shoul also notify the Division of Child and Family Services of the State of Utah.

A child is an adult at age 18. If there is violence in the home call Child Protective Services. Either parent can get a restraining order against the abuser - or the Department of Child and Family Services can place the child in a safe home.
