Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

my mother has been extremely controlling and has forced me to be mormon my whole life when i turned 18 i tried moving out for freedom and she would not let me. for 1 year i looked for a place to leave too. when i finally found somewhere she stalked me called all my friends even showed up at peoples houses i have not seen in years until she found me and made my roomate kick me out and forced me to come home. within a week i wanted to move out and when i tried she callexd my brother and he pointed a loaded gun to my forehead touchin my face and said if my boyfriend or i got near the house or i tried to leave he would kill him and shoot me in the face. so she said i had to marry him in order to be with him so i let her manipulate me into doing that also so i did and we had nowhere to go we moved in with her. now my brother has moved in and they search through my belongings and yell and say things about me and my husband with everyone. mnow he said he was going to beat me to a pulp and she supports him and said she will not do anything about it and i donot feel safe in my home and would like a restraining order i have no evidence to prove just testimonies from family and friends they werent there but theyve heard her saying these things and know when it happened would i still be able to get one?

My advice to you would be to just pack up and leave. If your brother continues to threaten you, call the police, then go to the courthouse and get a Protective Order.

Go to your local police department and get a referral to a women's shelter. While there they can protect you and also get you no cost legal assistance.
