Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

moving out of state

I have sole custody of my children and am getting remarried. Do I have the right to move out of state with my children? What legal approach should I look into to be able to move out of state?

Re: moving out of state

You must give written notice to the parent(s) of your children. He/she has a right to sue for amended visitation, amended support and other compensations. You should offer some sort of a plan which provides the children with reasonable and generous access to their parent - unless the parent posits a risk or danger to the children.
