Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Parent / child phone contact

Is there any minimum time for parent /child phone contact and how is it enforced? We live in a different state and we call every night at 7:00 p.m. to talk to the children - the mother agreed to this in co-parenting class. Now, since we moved, their mother will not answer the phone, give the kids messages, check her email or listen to her voice mail. It is between 12 and 27 days before we have any contact with them. What can we do?

Re: Parent / child phone contact

You are entitled to visitation under the out of area plan, which includes telephone visit time. Depending on the age of the children, telephone visits may be as often as daily. You can hold the mother in contempt for failure to provide visitation.
