Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Parental Liability for Adult Children

My 21 year old son may have inadvertently started a fire in his apartment. He smoked a cigarette at 11pm on the deck of his apartment, the next morning at 6am a fire started in that location. He remembers putting his cigarette out in a clay pot filled with soil, but he still seems to be under scrutiny. He is going to school at the university. Can the insurance come after me or my ex-wife to pay for damages?
