Parental rights

I have a brother with 2 kids out of wed lock and is now in prison, the kids mother is under investigation from child welfare and the case worker is telling the family that he has no rights since he is in prison, I would like to know what rights he does have since he is the father prison or no prison. thank you

Re: Parental rights

Even though he is in prison, he does have rights to be involved. His parental rights cannot be terminated without a proper court proceeding after having given him notice and an opportunity to be heard in court.
