Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

can the parents be held in contempt of court if we have not followed the divorce degree. i was only allowed to have the kids every other weekend and one night a week. but we have had the kids 50/50instead agreeing not to pay child support to each other.

Your oral changes leave you at risk for her to complain in the future that you failed to pay child support. You MUST get your decree altered to reflect the new schedule. The only way to alter is to file and get a modification. It will protect you and your children from any arbitrary changes.
