Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
Paternity testing and results
I wanted to know if there is anything legally I need to do regarding a negative test result for paternity of an alleged child? I saw the alleging party a year ago and slept with her, and she came back this year and notified the state of Utah regarding me being the alleged father of her child. I recieved a letter from the state office of recovery services requiring me to submit to a paternity test. I took the test and it came back that I was proven not to be the biological father of the baby. Is there something else i need to be doing to protect myself from her coming back and trying to get me legally later on down the road?
She slept with me and left two days later and I really am not sure who the father of her baby is, and she may try to cause more trouble with me, and I am worried that she is not mentally capable of letting go of the situation.

Re: Paternity testing and results
The negative paternity test is presumptive that you are not the father of her child. However, there is nothing you can do to prevent her from contacting you in the future.
