Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Property

When I divorced my husband we agreed he would keep the house and buy out my half. My father gave me land that wasn't part of the property the house was on. It had its own legal discription seperated from the property the house was on. After the divorce was final we noticed that it wasn't included the the property settlement. My name is on the title. Is it too late to try to keep that land?

Re: Property

If the property is in your name alone, and your ex never had ownership, it is considered separate property and should remain your property. You may want an attorney to review your divorce decree to make sure the property is still yours.
