Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
property
My fiancee and I just broke up. She lived with me for a year with her daughter. She is keeping the $15,000.00 ring that we had always agreed would be returned to me if we parted ways. She says the reason is I asked her to be out of my home within the week.

Re: property
You are entitled to the ring or the fair market value. Read other recent comments I made about engagement rings. Tell her to return it as the ring was not just a gift, but the token of her promise to marry you. Since you are not going to get married, she is not entitled to the ring. If she refuses, call me and we will file suit. I filed an identical suit and the ring was returned overnight express the next day after the girl was served notice of suit.
