Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

My ex had placed a protection order against me and then dropped it. We have since been to a mediator and had things talked out about our kids and were doing a fifty fifty joint custody where I would get the kids on a Sunday and give them back the next Sunday and the same for her. She has now found out that I have had a girlfriend and says that she is taking the kids for full custody and that the protective order rules still apply even though it was dropped in court and she is engaged to be married. So my question is does the protective order rules still apply with the kids even though it was dropped cause she is threatening to get the cops involved

If the protective order was, in fact, dismissed, then nothing in that case applies. Until there's a court order in place, you have as much right to have your children as she does.
