Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
How do I prove that I never recieved $15,000 after signing a notorized document
I signed a notorized document given by my sons' father that I recieved $15,000 for child support. Truth is, I never recieved that money, because we made a verbal agreement that he would help me out financially regardless, and the document was used to prevent me from reopening his child support case, also for me to clear up the back child support debt on his credit, so he can get a loan to start his own business. Now that we're not in good terms, and I'm applying for welfare, he sends welfare the document that I have signed, so now I cant get assistance because I need to prove to them first that I never recieved $15,000. How can I prove I never recieved $15,000 and even if I dont get assistance from the state, will I still be able to collect child?

You will have to petition the court to reopen your divorce case and ask the court to set aside the agreement as fraudulent. Then you will ask the court to issue an order to your for the amount of child support to which you would have been entitled. It will be up to the court whether or not to allow the case to be reopened.
