Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
I am getting ready to leave my husband of just under 4 years. We have talked about it and he isn't willing to take part in anything. Altough he also wants a divorce. I have the papers. Mine are signed and notorized. At this point I am at a lose. He is going to be served the papers over the next few days. At this point I will submit mine to the court, but what happpens if he just dosen't do anything? Everything we have is already divided, there will be nothing holding us back other than he's to prideful and macho to get it taken care of. Will I have to get a lawyer and take him to court over him being to much of a pain to sign the silly papers and move on?

He has 20 days from the date of service to file an answer. If he does not file an answer, you can apply to the court for a default divorce. If you used the court website, those papers are designed for default divorce.
