Responsible Party
My daughter is in the process of a divorce. They have two vehicles and the loans were obtained based on her credit her ex has terrible credit. Is she still responsible for making payments after divorce and what can she do to get away from this responsiblity

It will depend on the final result of the divorce. If they agree or the court finds that each should have a car then your daughter will be responsible for one payment and he the other. However, the bank will not release her from the obligation to pay. So while the court will require the husband to pay one loan, if he fails to pay, the bank can come after your daughter. To be safe the car(s) which she does not want to keep should be sold.
