Returning Engagement Ring

Does the ex-fiance have to return the engagement ring if she breaks off the engagement to marry another man?

Absolutely. The engagement ring is conditioned on the promise that the woman will marry the man. If she changes her mind, she has to return the ring. The ring is the token of the promise to marry. Break the promise, return the ring.
