Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
I'm about to be served papers from ORS for child support for a 13 year old girl that may be my kid. My name is not on the birth papers. she has her father and mother's last name. I don't hide from anything. But this kid might be mine.
What should I do?

The law assumes that married persons are the parents of their child. They have to prove that you are the parent. You must respond to the petition within 20 days. You can request a DNA test which will determine whether you are the father.
