Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

I have sole physical custody of my children, and my ex has visitation. He has been gone for the past four months and recently returned to the state, but he refuses to provide his new address. Can I refuse to allow him to take my children overnight until I have his address? I am worried he is staying with his father who is a convicted child molester or he's homeless.

You are entitled to know where the children are going to be. You are obligated to protect your children and not allow them in harm's way. You do not have to allow them to be with a convicted child molester, nor to stay at some shelter.
