Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

my son and daughter in law had an argument last night, he was drunk and she asked me to take him home. Befor I arived she stayed at him and he was on the floor with their daughter and grabed her ankels. She reached down and grabed his ears and dug her nail into his head making him bleede. I called the police and they investagated and nothing was done. Today she has taken our grand daughter and will not let her see or talk to her dad ( who has always been her main care giver) or Us her grand parents who have taken care of her 5 days a week since she was six weeks old. Can she denie us visitation or her father.

Legally, she can't deny him access to his own child. If they are not going to reconcile, he should file for divorce and get appropriate custody and visitation orders. You are welcome to call my office to set up a free consultation.
