Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
My son has supervised visitation with his 3 yr old daughter. He was divorced in 2007 because of drug addiction, has gon through rehab and has been clean for 2 years. In the divorce papers there were oders that she could have him drug tested anytime she wants for 5 times not to exceed more that one a month and for 1 year. She would have him tested one month and then wait a few more months and have him tested again. His Ex says that she can decide when the drug testing starts and ends but if that is the case she could carry on the supervised visitation on forever. What can we do to get my son regular visitation with his daughter. She won't let anyone pick my grandaughter up except for me, she doesn't let her sleep over ever and I always have to take her home, I dont' mind getting her and taking her home but it's only when it is convient for her. My son is working as many hours as he can to get things paid off but is still paying fines, court costs and rehab fines so he doesn't have money to get a lawyer and have them help him with this. She knows that and that is why she can keep doing what she is doing. I would think after 3 years he should be able to get his daughter more often. This is a free question please

He will have to get a lawyer and file a petition to amend the terms of the current order.
