Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

My sons father got a temporary order for custody in 2005 and in 2006 that order was dismissed. is that still a valid order? if so can we modify it? if not what can i do to get things changed?

It's not valid if the case has been dismissed. You would need to file another case and work toward getting a final, permanent decree which spells out the custody, child support, and other issues.
