Legal Question in Family Law in Utah
My son's wife was persued by a divorced neighbor who knows my son and his wife are married. Last Thursday while under the influence of alchohol, my daughter inlaw slept with the neighbor. My son left the home in both anger and pain. He stayed with me and on Sunday he found out that the neighbor and his wife slept together again on Friday night.
Can my son sue the neighbor for the pain and suffering caused by this man? The neighbor is continuing to persue my daughter inlaw for a relationship even after the married couple has committed to work out differences to save the family for the sake of the 2 children, 9 and 10.

He can sue for neighbors "alienation of affection." However, these cases are hard to win because your son's wife agreed to the tryst. Your son and daughter in law must have counseling to get through this.
