Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

My spouse is a dentist. Besides the building, isnt the value of the business considered an asset to split. He sold a portion of his practice to an associate for a substancial amount a few years ago. So I know it has monetary value. We are in mediation right now.

The value of the business is generally considered a marital asset. Since there is a record of the business being partially sold, the same formula can be used to determine the present value.
