Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

My former spouse and I are have a disagreement regarding visitation during the holidays. Our decree requires us to use mediation to resolve all disputes. We have retained the services of a mediation service and will go to our appointment. My former spouse works as a legal secretary and has retained the services of an attorney from the firm she works for. My question is two fold, first since the law firm specializes in malpractice so can they represent her in a child custody dispute? Since she works for the firm, which is located in Utah, is there a employee employer law preventing or is there a conflict of interest?

The answers to your questions are yes, the lawyer from the firm where she works can represent her and no, it would not constitute a conflict of interest. If she's going to have an attorney present, I would highly recommend you do the same.
