What steps should I take in filing divorce paperwork if I currently reside in a different state then where my ex and the marriage occured?

It depends on where you live and what the residency requirements are in your state for filing divorce.

Divorce is usually filed in the state and county where you live and have lived for at least 90 days. The place of marriage is not relevant.
