Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Threatening father-in-law

While going through my divorce, my father-in-law is insisting that I communicate only with him and never speak to my wife. He has threatened everything except physical threats. Is there something I can do to get the point across that I don't want to communicate my divorce or the assets with him? My wife and I have already sorted things out, but he keeps interfering.

Re: Threatening father-in-law

You have no duty to communicate to the father in law. Work things out with your ex. Tell father in law that if he continues to harass you, that you will get an injunction and restraining order against him. In short, stop talking to him, do not answer the phone. If you answer before knowing it is him, hang up.
