Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Visitation change 5-18

Both parents moved to Utah from Nevada this past year. When the Nevada decree was signed, the kids were 2 and 4 now they are 5 and 8. The mom has petitioned to have the Nevada decree recgonized by Utah. Will the Utah court automatically reset the visitation to the 5-18 visitation calendar or will we need to hire an attoreny to do this for us?

Re: Visitation change 5-18

If and when the Utah court recognizes the Nevada decree, that means that the terms of the Nevada decree can be enforced under Utah law. If you want to change the terms of the Nevada decree after it is recognized in Utah, you will have to file a petition here to make those changes.
