Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Waivers

I have sole legal and physical custody of my daughter. Her dad only has visitation. My question is he has her participating in girls scouts which sometimes involves them transporting her to or from activities. They require a waiver to be signed releasing them from liability from injury occuring during particpation in the activity or transportation to or from the activity. I want to know if he can sign away my legal rights in the event that something happens?

Re: Waivers

He can't sign away your legal rights. He should be getting signature on any such documents.

Re: Waivers

Your ex cannot sign away any of your legal rights. If you have joint legal custody, with the ex having visitation rights, he can sign the waiver. If you have sole legal custody, then you must sign the waiver.
